Avishai Levi served for 30 years in the Israeli Air Force (IAF), a career that culminated as the Head of Intelligence and Reconnaissance for the IAF from 2007-2010. It was during his tenure that the Israeli Air Force successfully detonated the Syrian nuclear reactor.

Prior to that, Levi served as Base Commander at Ramon Air Force Base during which time he oversaw the integration of the F16I advanced aircraft squadrons and Apache Longbow helicopters.

Levi was also the Head of Operations Dept. for the IAF and, as someone who commanded 2 F16 squadrons, he accrued extensive, personal participation in major operations.

He holds an Executive MBA from the Tel Aviv University, Recanati School of Management, a BA in General Studies from Auborn University, Alabama and is a graduate of the Advanced Command and Staff Course, Leadership in Warfare Program, of the USAF Air University.
